The COPAA app is under development. Honor Code holders will be the first informed and will have priority access at launch.
The Baobab system is our unique rating system. Members earn "baobab leaves" by contributing positively to the community. The more leaves you have, the more your trust and influence grow.
There are three levels: Standard (starting point), Trust (recognized engaged members) and Trust Pro (opinion leaders and content creators). You progress based on your engagement.

COPAA Features
COPAA was designed to encourage progression based on quality, contribution, and respect. Instead of giving everyone the same tools from the start, the platform invites each user to grow progressively: • The Standard Account allows you to discover COPAA's rhythm, learn its codes, and start publishing with intention. • The Trust Account values members who contribute positively and regularly to the community. • The Pioneer Account recognizes public voices, inspiring personalities, or content creators who bring significant value. This system allows COPAA to remain balanced, responsible, and quality-oriented, while giving everyone the possibility to evolve naturally.
The Baobab rating is one of the pillars of COPAA. It is inspired by the African tree of life, a symbol of wisdom, balance, and longevity. Each message ("cop") receives 1 to 5 leaves based on its perceived quality. This rating has three objectives: 1. Encourage useful, authentic, and inspiring content, rather than aggressive or superficial messages. 2. Empower the community, which becomes an actor in its own social experience. 3. Accompany the user's evolution, as ratings influence their reputation and access to Trust or Pioneer accounts. Unlike traditional likes, Baobab leaves value meaning, not noise — and this principle shapes a healthier and more constructive environment.
The Trust Account is for members who have demonstrated regular, respectful, and useful contribution. It offers more possibilities: more publications, addition of images or videos, private messaging, visible badge, and enhanced rating power. Private messaging is reserved for Trust accounts for a simple reason: COPAA wants to limit harassment, abuse, and toxic conversations. By only allowing messaging to members already recognized for their exemplary behavior, COPAA protects its community, especially the youngest or most vulnerable users, and ensures healthier, more intentional, and secure exchanges.
Africa is a visual gallery dedicated to the beauty and diversity of the continent: landscapes, cultures, faces, art, moments of life. It is reserved for Trust and Pioneer accounts, as these members have already demonstrated positive and responsible contribution. Photos disappear after 24 hours for three reasons: • To encourage permanent renewal: every day, Africa reflects a living Africa. • To limit visual clutter: no heavy archives or saturated feeds. • To maintain a spirit of spontaneity, like a daily gaze offered by the children of Africa to those who follow it. For Standard accounts, Africa is a space of inspiration... and a motivation to progress.
Because an African social network must allow Africans to express themselves in their natural language. Wolof is available from launch, followed progressively by Swahili, Lingala, Bambara, Yoruba, dialectal Arabic, and other widely spoken languages. The objective is simple: to allow every African to publish in the language that best carries their identity, nuance, and emotion. This approach strengthens: • inclusion, • cultural proximity, • authenticity of exchanges, • valorization of African languages.
COPAA is not a network where everything is given right away, nor a space dominated by a few big voices from the start. The platform is designed to reward progression, patience, contribution, and quality. Thus, your voice grows: • when you publish with sincerity, • when the community recognizes you, • when you bring value, • when you respect the Honor Code. From simple texts at the beginning, you gradually move to richer content, then to advanced functions... until you become a respected member or even a Pioneer personality.
